Located in Zone 1 and only 6 minutes walk to Elephant and Castle tube station and 9 minutes walk to Borough Station, this flat is the perfect base for those who want to visit tourist London. Waterloo and London Eye are super close by and you can easily walk over there in 15 minutes. London's iconic skyscraper, The Shard (which can be seen from the front door!), and London Bridge train station are a short walk away with Borough Market, London's renowned food market, just around the corner. The space is ideal for families and sharers with 2 good size double bedrooms and a pull out sofa bed in the lounge which comfortably sleeps a further 2 guests. The flat is located on the ground floor so no steps to negotiate. We recently refurbished the flat with new paint, lights, bathroom and kitchen so everything should work perfectly well. All the furniture and furnishings are brand new. The comfy beds come with clean and pressed hotel quality linens and we provide fresh ones to each guest. There are fluffy white towels in the bathroom and we also provide shower gel and shampoo. There is also a hair dryer for the ladies. The kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons. There is a toaster, kettle and a microwave. There are pots and pans and some basics if you want to cook. Superfast fibre optic Wi-Fi and internet enabled Smart TV is provided. We can provide a baby cot and high chair upon request. Guest access The entire apartment is available for the guests. Interaction with guests We try and make time for our guests but when not available, Hostmaker will look after you. They are a London based company and they are very nice. The neighbourhood This lovely property is perfectly located in zone 1 for a great trip to London to visit all the sites, bars, restaurants, museums and galleries that the city has to offer. The neighbourhood between Borough, Waterloo and Elephant and Castle is quite up and coming which means that there are lots of hipster cafes, restaurants and bars in the area. One of the best features of this location is how close all the sights are. Waterloo, Southbank, London Eye are all 15 mins walk away. There are many buses that will ferry you over in less than 10 minutes. Hop on the Bakerloo line and you will be Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus in 10-15 minutes. Southbank is wonderful in the summers with fairs lining up the river bank. You can walk along the river bank all the way to Westminster for the Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament. You can also walk to the best food market in London - Borough Market. Try out Monmouth Coffee and Konditor & Cook cakes. Take a 10 minute bus ride to Bermondsey Street - one of London's best food streets. Munch some lunch there and then walk over to the famous Tower Bridge. Getting around The flat is served by two tube stations - Elephant & Castle which is 6 minutes away and is on the Bakerloo line and Borough which is about 9 minutes away and is on the Northern Line. You can also take one of the several buses that run close to the flat to get to Big Ben and Parliament - it only takes 15 minutes and you can enjoy the view on the bus ride :) Other things to note - Don't judge the book by the cover as they say and so we say about the flat. The building is not the smartest looking but the flat inside is really nice and newly refurbished. - The flat is compact and great value for money. - Please note the flat is on the ground floor and there is no elevator in the property. - There is a Nespresso machine, please feel free to use your own pods.
