Particular attractions here include St Mary's Church with its new organ, home to the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the theatre and the Neubrandenburg art collection, which is famous beyond the borders of Mecklenburg as a concert church. Tourist highlights include the historic town wall with its four medieval gates and Lake Tollensesee, which borders directly on the town and offers several bathing opportunities, boat hire and passenger boat trips.
