Summary: We really enjoyed our stay in Bernau. The village is an ideal starting point for summer hikes and outdoor activities. The landscape is truly stunning – you only need to step outside the house to be surrounded by nature and countless possibilities for exploration.The apartment itself was very spacious and thoughtfully designed, with two bedrooms, a large living room, and a well-equipped kitchen. The highlight is the beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, which made our stay even more special.A nice convenience is the self-service shop located just 10–15 meters from the apartment. With a card (available online, though it takes a couple of weeks to receive), you can shop there 24/7. When staff is present, it’s easy to shop without the card as well.The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. They greeted us personally, provided helpful advice, and explained how to use the mandatory tourist tickets, which actually offer good value in return. The check-in and check-out process was simple and straightforward.Overall, we can highly recommend this apartment for a relaxed and enjoyable vacation in the Black Forest.
