Positive: Beautiful hotel situated in a gorgeous old building. Our room was lovely, breakfast was delicious. The room was large, high ceilinged, with lovely views. Two comfy armchairs, perfect for reading. We were discounted for the hot water situation (which was no one's fault, these things sometimes happen in old buildings). If we are ever in this area again, would definitely return.

Negative: Unfortunately we came on a night when the plumbing failed and there was no hot water. However, the manager did her best, calling out a repairman from Leeds and keeping everyone up to date on the situation. Sadly, it required a part which could not be obtained until after our stay. Alison is a diamond, though, she really worked hard, as did Nicola, to keep everyone in the loop.
