Our charming 1930s beach house offers a classic New England coastal getaway with plenty of space. Located just a block from the Long Island Sound and breathtaking views of the Thimble Islands. Enjoy views of the Long Island Sound just a block away, take a walk along the coast line, rinse off with an outdoor shower, and have dinner on the deck or patio in the huge private backyard. Or enjoy a meal and live music at one of several restaurants within walking distance.
This 1930s house has been renovated while maintaining its charm. Exposed beams, hardwood floors, and original fireplace offer unique design characteristics. The backyard is very large and private, backing up to a marsh. There is an outdoor shower, patio area with fire pit, and a deck to fully enjoy the beautiful property. The neighborhood is very friendly and safe.

The beach at the end of the road (Limewood Beach) should only be used for short walks below the high tide mark. Above the high tide mark is owned by individuals and is private property. Other beaches you will have access to are Branford Point (5 min drive), Stoney Creek beach (12 min drive), and Hammonasset State Park Beach (beautiful large beach roughly 20 min drive).

Summary: We stayed at this property weekend of Nov 23rd, 2024. The house is super nice. Very clean. Other than food, the home is stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Plenty of restaurants, groceries and other shopping nearby. We had an 8 month old and did not feel uncomfortable at all. Would rent again and would recommend this property to anyone.
