Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Great location. Room clean and adequate, with a comfortable bed and a kettle.

Negative: Though hotel prices, it was absolutely basic in decor and furnishings more like a hostel - basic foyer, hard floors, little furniture i.e. one plastic chair, no drawers just a clothes rail. The picture of the lovely house is misleading as most rooms are in an institutional type annex . No housekeeping and the staff were not friendly, but again adequate. I dont get Bad Oeynhausen - it is a really lovely place but they just don't seem to expect tourism or do hotels. The large hotels in Ost Corso had clearly failed and fallen into significant disrepair.

Summary: Bad Oeynhausen is lovely - their hotel options bafflingly basic.
