This rustic, cozy farmhouse was completely renovated in 2016 and awaits its guests with newly designed, cozy rooms. The detached holiday home is located in Bad Schandau, Krippen district on a cul-de-sac serving as an access road with no through traffic. Krippen lies at the beginning of a valley opening towards the Elbe and nestles in the green of the forests that reach right up to the house. An ideal starting point for bike tours and hikes in the Saxon Switzerland National Park.
The house has a total living area of approx. 120 m² and offers space for up to six people on two floors. Real wood floors, walls plastered with clay and wooden beam ceilings create a cozy living atmosphere. Since there are no carpets, the holiday home is also ideal for allergy sufferers. On the ground floor there is a cozy living room with a fireplace, satellite.-TV, home entertainment, CD, DVD and Bluray players. The new kitchen is fully equipped with a ceramic hob, fridge, dishwasher, oven, coffee machine (whole beans), toaster and kettle. In the kitchen is the dining area for up to 6 people. The hallway leads to the bathroom on the ground floor with shower and toilet and the sauna in a sandstone vault (for a fee). A wooden staircase leads to a large bedroom on the upper floor with a farm bed (180 x 200 cm), farm lounger and wardrobe. Another two bedrooms, each with a shower room with toilet en suite, can be found on the opposite side of the hall. One bedroom is furnished with two single farm beds (90 x 200 cm), the second with a double farm bed (180 x 190 cm). In the bedrooms and living rooms in particular, attention was paid to the originality of the pieces of furniture and those completely furnished with rustic furniture from the Voglauer brand.
You will surely be amazed by the large terrace with grill and seating, which you can reach from the kitchen. Here everyone will find their favorite place to relax, sunbathe or read. Around the house you will find several terraces, some of them steep, with breathtaking views of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and the Elbe. In the upper part of the property, the first sandstone cliffs connect to it.
Pets are only allowed on request (for an additional fee). It is a non-smoking house, but smoking is allowed on the terrace. A wireless Internet connection is available free of charge (LTE, 2 GB / week free).
There are numerous hiking trails around the village, which also reward the short walk with wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding rock and mountain landscape. The immediate neighborhood to Bad Schandau (two kilometers), the Papststein, the Schrammsteine and the Malerweg as well as the Elberadweg are a particular plus. The huge, developed hiking area between Pirna and Bohemian Switzerland offers a direct entry into the Saxon Switzerland National Park. Active guests appreciate the extensive bike and mountain bike network. Both Pirna and Dresden can be reached by public transport (bus, boat, train). Bad Schandau offers you fine dining. The Tuscan thermal baths await you just four kilometers away, even in bad weather. There are shops in Bad Schandau and Krippen.
