From there you can go on excursions to the Europa-Park Rust, the breathtaking nature reserve Taubergießen, the Black Forest with its metropolis Freiburg, the French Alsace with its impressive wine route, the wine growing areas Kaiserstuhl and 'Markgräfler Land' or take a day trip to the nearby ones Switzerland.
