Summary: We loved the house and location, the animals that live on and around the place, the very nice people and of course the stunning mountains and forrests. In and around Simonswald are some nice restaurants and bakery's, a supermarket is in the next village. Freiburg is about a 30 minutes drive away and has a beautiful Oldtown. We already miss being surrounded by mysterious forrests and the sound of the river next to the house. The (only!) reason why I would not return is the bed: the matresses where really very hard/firm. I know it is a personal preference, but I could not sleep comfortable, it made my back hurt.
