Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Amanda was a warm hostess who met us on arrival. She told us about the property she had recently acquired and of her plans for it. The garden and river at the bottom of the garden were lovely, and the sunsets were gorgeous. There is a restaurant next door that also does breakfast. It is currently unlicensed, and we catered for ourselves, so we had no need to try it, but those inside seemed happy.

Negative: The accommodation was exactly as described and more than comfortable. I would suggest that guests bring midge spray because like many places in Scotland, particularly out in the country, there are clouds of them. Having said that, judicious and liberal spraying keep you from being eaten, and the views are well worth coming prepared. Midges are not something any host can control.

Summary: Owl View has a lovely environment and helpful host.
