Positive: The flat has lovely mountain views, spacious bedrooms, a large bathroom, two toilets (great for a family of five), good heating, hot water, and a dishwasher.

Negative: I did not like to location as it is quite remote — about 15 minutes from the nearest town, up a steep, narrow, winding mountain road with a cliff on one side. The road isn’t lit at night, making it difficult and unsafe to drive. The small village has only one bakery with very few options (no Black Forest cake when we visited), so for a supermarket, café, restaurant, pharmacy, or ATM, you have to drive back down the same steep road. The host requests a €150 deposit in cash if your are not German. The tax and extra fee for sheets and towels have to be paid in cash as well. Also, you must leave the property clean if you want to have your deposit back (the deposit receipt states so) I recommend to bring enough cash with you as there is no ATM in the little village. To check out you must wait for the host to arrive into the property and inspect it. She opens every single drawer and cabinet in the bedrooms and kitchen before returning the deposit, even the oven as you must leave everything clean as well. Additionally, the washing machine and drier are not in the flat. You have to go to the ground floor to use them and pay a fee. Although the flat was clean, it was really smelly to curry when we arrived into the property. I never understood why it was not properly ventilated if check out is at 10:00 am. We arrived at 10:15 pm.

Summary: Beautiful views, but quite remote and lacks practicality.
