Positive: A perfect retreat! This fabulous little studio had everything we wanted. A nice little kitchenette, a fine little bathroom and a nice little bedroom. All of these were nicely furnished and had everything needed. The outdoor patio has amazing views of the Valais, the surrounding Alps, and on a clear day Mont Blanc. It was dead quiet with the exception of the distant sheep and cows and occasional neighbor walking down the road with their dog. It’s a short walk to a small village market for food, and equally short to get to the many hiking paths nearby. Public transit will drop you off a short walk (5 min?) to the studio. The host, Florence, was beyond gracious and drove us into Sion on our final morning so we could catch the train. Be aware, it is a 20+ min bus ride out of town and uphill to reach Arbaz. This was not a negative for us, but rather precisely what we wanted. A short bus trip still got us into town one day so we could tour the Basilica and some other town highlights.

Negative: There was nothing to dislike about this lovely place.
