Positive: Really cosy, well equipped cottage. Home from home. You have to cross the driveway to get to the garden but it’s worth it as the garden is well above average, secure and enclosed for our dog, a very large garden with lovely trees and a river at the bottom with garden furniture on a patio which would be lovely to sit out on in sunnier weather. The real bonus is the large BBQ hut which we found to be a really fun, sociable way to eat as a family and meant the garden could be enjoyed regardless of the weather.

Negative: Just minor things but we were there in Feb with some rain and it was dark when we used the hut. The garden path doesn’t fully reach the hut and the grass was slippy in parts after the rain. The garden is very dark at night, great for the stars but a few of those solar lights planted by the path would really help with getting to the hut with BBQ provisions.

Summary: Cosy and comfortable with a unique treat in the BBQ hut which really made our stay more special.
