Summary: The hotel is in good location, a short 5ish minute walk from the Gateway Loop and Information Center. If you take the bus from Vancouver, it's very convenient to get from bus to hotel. It's also a short walk to restaurant and Olympic skating ring. It's a little longer to walk to the base of the slope, probably 15min, not the distance but rather not rushing through snow and possibly slippery road. The hotel has a shuttle but it's not fast and small, so fill up fast for each trip. Much easier to walk even with kids. There are 2 paths and one doesn't require crossing any street. The room we got was 1 bedroom with king bed. It has a queen sofa bed and enough room to fit a twin rollaway bed. Good fit for our family of 4 (2 teenagers). There's a full size kitchen with full size fridge, oven, stove, and dishwasher. Come in very handy. 2 grocery stores nearby. They clean the room everyday and switch out any dirty towels but they don't clean the floor, just something to be aware of not really a big deal.
