Positive: The location was super nice (even if you are looking for something in Triberg as it has a bus which is free with the guest card and it's about 45 mins pleasant walk). The area around there is super nice (nicer than Triberg in my opinion) and very good for kids. Beds were comfy, room was cool and free parking right across the street as advertised. Getting the key was straightforward even though they did not have manned reception for the day I was there.

Negative: I got repeated messages to pay outside the platform even though I had pre-paid through booking. When I raised that I was told "it's just an option" and then as soon as I checked in, I got an online bill that said "click here to pay" with a suggestion to use that link to complete check out! If you book with them, just ignore all of that and be careful not to pay twice. The room (and the hotel) furnishings are quite dated without that being an issue. Only challenge was that the bathroom window seemed to be stuck so only way to ventilate the bathroom was from the window of the main room. I assume that would have been fixed if I had stayed there more days. There was nobody at reception for the day I was there and no point in raising it via message as it wouldn't be fixed before I left.
