Positive: Nice scenic location. Bed was comfy. Good value as breakfast is included. Not too far to get in to Telford centre. Town of Newport nearby is a nice town to look around for an afternoon.

Negative: Maybe should be made clearer at booking that you are booking a room in a hall of residence rather than a hotel room if you are booking a standard room. I would of booked room in castle instead but didnt give me that option. Parking bit messy. Lots of disabled spaces and not many spaces actually marked out. Breakfast timings too short 7-9 is short compared to usual 6-10 offered at most hotels. Reception kind of hard to find and when we asked if this was reception the answer was dependant on which type of room you booked. We are a guest coming here for the first time how would we know there are 2 receptions for different types of rooms? Was a bit of an unnecessary comment. Overall room was basic but comfortable enough.
