Summary: The hotel put in a room which backed onto the lift shadt so was very noisy all night. We did mention this is the morning and was told we should have said something and they would have moved us, but what the hotel should have done is not put us in the room in the first place if other rooms were available, all hotel staff know the rooms by lifts and stairwells can be noisy. Its about being proactive not reactive isn't it?
